ENOUGH FUEL.

Build a clearer picture of your Evo X fuel system. Explore pump supply, engine demand and the fuel that still needs a way back to the tank.

A pump's headline flow rating is only the beginning. Boost raises the pressure it works against. Your engine uses part of the supply; the rest returns to the tank.

THE RETURN-STYLE FUEL SYSTEM

Fuel supply and return path Fuel travels from the tank and pump to the rail. The injectors deliver fuel to the engine. The regulator sends the unused fuel back to the tank. Evo X 4B11T fuel flow report

Supply flow, return flow and headroom for ten pump, rail and regulator combinations. Set your power target and boost, and every combination is recalculated against the same engine demand.

Your target

Peak-power conditions. All Evo X regulators here are manifold-referenced 1:1, so rail pressure at peak boost is base pressure plus boost.

Power target450 whp
Fuel93 octane
BSFC (lb/hp·hr)0.60
Peak boost28 psi
Base pressure (adjustable regulators)43.5 psi
The OEM regulator stays fixed at about 43 psi.
Voltage at the pump13.5 V
Injectors1065 cc
Max duty cycle85%
Pump reserve you want at peak15%
Share of the flow reaching the rail that should still be returning to the tank at peak power.
Venturi draw, Radium hangers

Where each combination tops out

Power each system supports before the pump runs out of reserve or the injectors hit their duty ceiling, whichever comes first. The black tick is your target.

The ten combinations

Each bar is the pump's output at peak-boost rail pressure: what the engine burns, what returns to the tank, and any shortfall. The tick is your reserve floor. Open a combination for the full numbers, or swap parts.

Pump flow against pressure

Flow at your pump voltage for every pump in use above. The vertical line is rail pressure at peak boost; the amber line is what the engine needs, and the grey line adds the venturi draw a Radium hanger takes off the top. A pump only works where its curve sits above the crossing.

How the numbers are made

Planning estimates for comparing options. Confirm with a fuel pressure gauge and wideband on the car before leaning on any of these figures.
