Flashing takes about 5 minutes with Included PassThruCAN software (The flashing software written by Mitsubishi themselves so you know its reliable). in saying that, even so, its common practice that if a flash is interrupted, don’t touch the car key, simply flash again. Ensure you don’t touch the key, Leave the vehicle key ON (but not started), and flash again, it will continue as normal and will exit programming mode on its own once it is finished.


Safety & Reliability

We have not had incidents of “stuck” ECUs; if something goes sideways, you re‑flash and go.

We have heard of the occasional U1203 or P1590 dtc codes after flashing, but thats just transientary – go into evoscan and click clear dtc, also use mmc coding writer v2.3 to set SST  software market to JDM-DOM/EU-EUR/US-NAM, and as rare as this is, just pull fuse 3 to reset all codes for the A/T SST transmission ecu, this will clear out any remaining issues that occur with clearing out codes.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need an engine retune?
No. This upgrade does not alter your engine ECU tune. It focuses only on the SST TCU firmware.

Is it safe?
Yes. We use factory‑style tools and factory oem firmware with calibration table adjustments. You can always revert to stock using the supplied CFF.

My car is skipping gears, will this firmware update fix this?
No I wouldn’t have thought so, but we did hear from a one customer that their gear skipping went away immediately after Appling the V4 firmware update.  So to save yourself a $5k SST rebuild its definitely highly recommended to purchase this.

Can Ralliart run B151?
Yes. We upgrade Ralliart users to B151 and include a Rev Hunt fix and S‑Sport mode.

I have an EvoX what will the Ralliart rev hunt fix do?
Just tick it anyway, it does no harm, I have an EvoX and run the rev hunt fix as well, it has no effect on EvoX, it fixes Ralliart rev  hunt.

What Clutch Pressure should I run if I have an OEM clutch pack?
I would recommend Plus +8% to start, and if you get too many clunks when coming to stop, then back off the % a bit, and go back 1% at a time, until its smooth at coming to a stop without clunks.

What Clutch Pressure should I run if I have an Sportsman or stronger multi-plate aftermarket clutch pack?
I would recommend Minus 3% to start (thats why we added -3% and other negative pressures)  you need more slip when using more clutch plates. you will have full grip anyway, and you need it to be smooth and strong – not just strong and clunky.

Should I do a Teach-in after doing this firmware flash update?
I would NOT recommend doing a teach in – why? because the sst learns over many hundreds of drive circles the clutch trims, so in doing a teachin resets all the learned values,
therefore ONLY do a teach on these occasions:
– only TEACHIN if the car has a lot clunks or skipping gears.
– only TEACHIN if the sst has had a rebuild.
– only TEACHIN if the sst has not had a teachin for many years (3+), and its time a for a re-calibration.

Remote e‑tuning?

We’re focused on software. For remote e‑tuning, consider reputable specialists (e.g., Chet Rickerman, Chag Tuned, Jeff Evans).

Launch control boost?
With the ShiftMods/LC option, customers report ~19+ psi built before launch while retaining stock rev limiter behavior (no spark cut required).
