Preset AFR @ WOT Description
Improved Eco 14.7 (NA) / 14.7 (Turbo) Max mileage & cruise
Lean 12.5 (NA) / 11.8 (Turbo) Balanced power vs fuel
Rich 11.8 (NA) / 11.0 (Turbo) Max cooling & safety

Utilities & Fixes

  • Closed-Loop Disable — Locks trimming for wideband tuning.
  • P0300 Misfire Disable — Suppresses nuisance random-misfire codes on modified vehicles. On tuned cars with lightweight flywheels, rich idle, or crackle tunes the misfire algorithm can be over-sensitive. Disabling the code prevents the dash light and stored DTC only; it does not stop real misfires.
  • Fuel Trim Disable — Turns off P0170–P0175 when running MAF-less.
  • Rear O₂ Delete — Clears P0139/40 and P0420 while keeping front sensor intact.

EGR Delete (NA Lancers)

✓ EGR Openings Disabled (5/5)
✓ EGR Timing Advanced Value = 0
✓ Spark Advance RPM Limit = 0
✓ EGR Opening Multiplier vs APP = 0
✓ DTC P0249 ×2 Disabled
✓ DTC P0489 EGR Circuit Low Disabled

Cleaner, higher-density intake charge — With EGR shut the cylinders get 100% fresh air instead of a mix that can be 5–15% inert exhaust. That raises the oxygen fraction, improves volumetric efficiency, and can be worth a few kW/HP at the same boost level. EGR carries sooty vapour and oil mist back into the intake; blocking it keeps the whole tract cleaner and can restore idle quality.

How Licensing & Downloads Work

  1. Purchase the solution you need through PayPal (receipt is issued immediately).
  2. EvoPro verifies the transaction manually and assigns your license to your account email.
  3. After approval your email is added to the license list and your account unlocks download access. One license per person — can be used on all laptops owned by that person and on as many cars/ROMs as needed.

Typical Workflow

  1. Purchase an OpenPort 2.0 Cablehttps://www.evoscan.com/shop
  2. Plug the cable into your car, key on, engine off.
  3. Install and open ECUFlash — Read ROM from ECU and save as .bin file. Save a second original copy on a USB or elsewhere.
  4. Open EvoPro ROM Tool — Load your stock ROM (.BIN) via Binary Selection → Open File. Rename the .bin before opening (e.g. “EvoProMod1”).
  5. Confirm ROM — Tick the exact model/year radio button.
  6. Fire Quick Commands — Click desired patches; watch the status bar turn green.
  7. Close ROM (optional — ROM is already saved).
  8. Compare with Original ROM — Use ECUFlash to open both the new and original .bin files and click “Compare ROM”.
  9. Review — Check that you are happy with the timing and/or fuel adjustments before flashing.
  10. Flash — Write with ECUFlash + OpenPort 2.0 to the vehicle.
  11. Clear DTC Codes — Generated during flash process, so they need clearing.
  12. Road-Test & Log — Check AFR, knock, and adjust as needed. Ensure 11.0–11.8 AFR at WOT on your wideband for turbo vehicles. If you do not have a wideband or TephraMod for knock monitoring, do not proceed with fuel or timing modifications.

Source of Mods

  • Are these mods sourced from other tuners? — No. All mods are custom-sourced from disassembly using Ghidra of raw stock OEM ROMs available on Bryan’s ROM site. Special thanks to ripnet who makes M32R scripts and tools for the community.
  • Who is the author? — The tool author is JJroberts, with assistance from Hamish at EvoScan for testing, ROM identification, code reviews, and in-car testing.
  • Are the table addresses verified? — Yes. Each ROM address was verified in a large spreadsheet and as many OEM ROMs collected and catalogued as possible.
  • How can I verify the changes are safe? — The addresses and ROM changes are not secret. Anyone with a hex compare tool such as WinMerge or ECUFlash can compare the original ROM to the EvoPro-adjusted file before writing it back to the vehicle. Click File → Compare in ECUFlash and changed tables will show as blue in the table tree.
  • Couldn’t I make these changes myself? — Yes, but the time it takes to send a ROM off for a DTC delete or EGR-off takes days. This tool is much quicker and provides a faster entry level.

Refunds

If the tool does not work for the features you need for your particular vehicle, send us a copy of the ROM ID or ROM file as soon as possible so we can investigate. We can provide an update within a week. If it is still not working or you are no longer convinced, message us directly for a refund via the contact form or Facebook Messenger. Refunds are allowed up to 30 days after purchase only. Please only purchase when you are ready to use the tool and already have an OpenPort 2.0 cable and ECUFlash installed.

Legal & Safety

For off-road / competition use only where emission regulations allow. All changes use ECUFlash checksum correction and ECUFlash for ECU writing. The user assumes all responsibility for flashed calibrations. If your car feels laggier than normal it could be knock detonation — do not boost and revert to the original ROM. Always datalog after flashing and ensure zero knock sum, and AFR is safe between 11.0 and 11.8 at WOT for turbo vehicles. Fuel quality can change drastically between petrol stations and octane ratings. Always recheck your wideband AFR after refuelling at new stations. Best protection is to always run TephraXmodV3 ROM for knock light and knock protection.
