Do you get numbers jumping around when datalogging? Do you get USB device not recognised? then You need to install the correct drivers, follow these instructions please:

• Plug in the 1.3R cable to the laptop

• Open windows start menu, in the search Type “device manager” and open it

• Scroll down to the end under “Universal Serial Bus controllers” expand it out.

• Right Click the OpenPort 1.3 and select “Uninstall”, tick “delete drivers”, and press OK

• UNPLUG the usb cable.

• Download and run this program called CDM uninstaller GUI, enter Vendor ID: 0401 enter Product Id: CC4A and press ADD, then enter Vendor ID: 0401 Product Id: 6001 and press ADD. then click “Remove Devices”.

• now unzip right click extract the http://www.evoscan.com/drivers/openport1.3drivers.zip file above, and open the folder openport 1.3u

• double click and run “DPInst” and click yes, accept, and install the drivers, wait till that’s finished, make sure it says Successfully Installed. (if it says newer drivers exist, then you have a problem, start again from the top, or contact evoscan support)

• now wait another 10 seconds, and then plug in the USB cable.

• now wait another 60 seconds, and then open EvoScan, and plug it to the car and try it out,  check that Battery Voltage reads around 12volts, and the throttle sensor reads in evoscan when you push on the car’s accelerator pedal.

• now open the Reflash menu inside EvoScan at the top menu, and plug the 1.3R usb cable into the car and make sure you can read the ROM, just click read rom after selecting evo7/8 or evo9 option, when saved, then now open ecuflash, open the ROM file, and browse the Fuel table using ecuflash, check it looks good. so you basically use EvoScan to read and write the rom to the car, and you use ecuflash to edit the tables for the rom.  simple as.

You can use this cable with EvoScan for Reflashing/Reprogramming Evo7/8/9 roms. Click the reflash menu in evoscan.

This cable is just like the OpenPort 1.3U cable but without the embedded license needed to work with EcuFlash software, you just use evoscan flashing menu instead, which is limited to just evo7, or 8, or 9 reprogramming/reflashing, it works the same as ecuflash for those 3 vehicles.  so basically this cable is just a cheaper way to reflash evo7/8/9

You can use this cable for EvoScan datalogging all Mitsubishi Vehicles up to 2006.

Read ROM using evoscan then edit using ecuflash, then Write ROM using evoscan again
